Family And Youth Success (FAYS)
Circles of Care provides family and youth services to families under stress or crisis in Nueces, Kleberg, and Jim Wells counties of Texas. A variety of services are available to all youth, up to the age of 17, and their families.

Our staff works with youth and their families to develop the skills needed to become successful within their life, family, and community. Our services include:
Individual and Family Support Services
Addresses many types of issues related to a youth’s family conflict, including:
- Child behavior problems
- Communication
- Coping with divorce or other loss
- Parent and child relationships
- Peer and school problems
- Roles and expectations
- Runaway behaviors
- Truancy
Sessions offer a safe place to explore and resolve feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. The Family Support Specialist will meet with parents and guardians to ensure family awareness, cooperation, and to share the results of client progress.
Group Sessions
Circles of Care offers group sessions to deal with issues such as aggressive behaviors, grief, divorce, effective communication, social skills and gender-specific issues of youth. Group sessions and skills development are provided by Family Support Specialists and case managers throughout Nueces, Jim Wells, and Kleberg counties. Youth may be referred by school counselors, parents, or by self-referral. All youth who participate in group sessions must have signed permission forms from a parent or guardian on file in the school administration office.
Crisis Intervention
Circles of Care provides 24-hour, on-call crisis support, 7 days a week. Our professional will only respond to calls about youth who are runaways or experiencing family violence or other major crises.

Runaway and Crisis Services
Services for youth are aimed at reconnecting youth with their families.
Services include crisis intervention that is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to all runaway or youth in crises in Nueces, Kleberg, and Jim Wells counties. Family Support Specialistd meet with the family and youth to discuss the crisis, create a plan of action to alleviate family stress and tensions, and reunite the family.
When family reunification is not immediately possible, Circles of Care offers up to 30 days of temporary shelter for the youth. This allows for a “cooling off” period for the youth and their family to assist in the resolution of underlying issues that led up to the crisis. The primary goal is to reunify the family, strengthen family relationships, and improve communication.
